I want to go into the market of gaming, as in designing, constructing, and being part of a team that makes games. I heard of taking computer science courses, but what do all I need to take in order to design, make, create ect. games? like for a xbox 360, pc, those kinds of games.

You learn to make programs. What I did is Java. We learned the basics.

I took Computer Science couple of semesters ago. It’s basically a class where you learn how to use and get familiar with different Microsoft Programs such as Words, Excel, Access, etc and learn the basics of computers like how does it work and everything in between. It will get more advanced as you take additional CS courses

you need to know how to write computer programs. compsci courses deal with that as well as other related subjects — operating systems, data structures, etc. go to any college website that offers compsci as a major and peruse their course catalog for descriptions of the courses

im a computer science major, and basically what they start u out with is ur basic computer informatics, along with elementary programming classes. if ur tryna go into gaming i would definitely suggest the path where u take web development, networking, and for sure some classes that are specifically directed towards microsoft.

guaranteed everything ur gonna b working with is going to be based off of excel vba somehow. are u familiar with any vba programs? theres ur start.

I believe Computer science is everything within the computing field. I’m taking Computer games programming at Uni and maybe this is more suited to you.
