Colegio San Francisco de Asis(high school) is located on the small island of Santa Cruz in the spectacular and historic Galapagos Islands. Citizens of the Galapagos islands are often isolated from educational opportunities because of their physical distance from the mainland. Learning English is a very important economic tool for the habitants of the islands in order to participate in the local and tourist economies and improve their quality of life. The school educates children and teenagers and prepares them to be savvy protectors of their local environment which is the principal attractio Volunteers must be of age 24 or above with minimum education of high school. This placement does not need any volunteers in the month of Jan, Feb and Mar.

 Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement:- Child & Youth Worker Leadership Programming Social Work Student General Administration Teacher – English Teacher – Math Teacher – Science Teacher – Geography Teacher – Environmental Science Teacher – Physical Education TEFL Certificaiton / Training Handicraft Design Computers – MS Office Software Soccer Basketball Educational Games Guitar Piano Drums Teacher – Social Science Teacher – Commerce, Finance, Business Teacher – History

Volunteers can assist by doing following tasks:-

-Teaching English -Being active in the community
